Kununurra

So, jetzt sind wir schon bald zwei Wochen in Kununurra und ernähren uns hauptsächlich von Melonen und Kürbis! ;) Als wir am Freitag vor zwei Wochen angekommen sind, hatten wir direkt am selben Tag ein Vorstellungsgespräch bei Mel und Matt und konnten uns schon ein Bild von unserem neuen Arbeitsplatz machen. Die beiden meinten sofort, dass unsere Jobs erst ab dem 19.08. sind und wir noch etwas warten müssten. Das war vollkommen ok für uns, da wir die Stellen sicher in Aussicht hatten. Sie meinten, allerdings, wenn sie schon früher ein paar Leute brauchen, würden sie uns anrufen. Ja, also, seitdem hat der Andy fast jeden regulären Tag gearbeitet und ich auch einige Tage. Wir sind echt gesegnet, denn auf der Warteliste stehen ca. 200 Leute, die auf einen Anruf von einem Farmer warten!

Now are already almost two weeks gone and we like Kununurra and eat almost just melons and pumpkins! ;) We arrived on friday two weeks ago and went streight to a interview to meet the farmers and see our future workplace. Matt and Mel told us, that we have to start from 19/08, but if they would need some people, they would call us. Since then Andy worked almost every day and I could work a couple of days as well. We are so blessed! There are waiting 200 people to work like we do!

Aber, bevor ich euch von der Arbeit erzähle, möchte ich euch noch schnell die Gegend zeigen, in der unser Campingplatz liegt. Wir sind am ersten Wochenende direkt auf einem netten Campingplatz direkt vor dem Nationalpark gelandet. Die Felsen hier sind wirklich schön und die Natur mal wieder faszinierend!

Before I tell you about the work, I want to show you, where we life. We moved on our first weekend in Kununurra straight away to a nice Caravan Park in Front of the nationalpark and the little Bungle Bungle.

Aber der Nationalpark ist noch nicht einmal das Beste an unserem Campingplatz und allgemein an Kununurra -  die Leute hier sind echt der Knaller! Die sind alle so lieb und kontaktfreudig. Jeder kennt jeden irgendwie und das ist echt eine tolle Atmosphäre! Direkt am zweiten Tag ist ein australisches Pärchen neben uns gezogen und, nach kleinen Touren rund um Kununurra, immer wieder neben uns gekommen. Wir haben uns mit der Zeit richtig gut angefreundet und eine tolle Zeit miteinander gehabt. Vor zwei Tagen sind sie dann endgültig aufgebrochen - schade!

The national park is not the best thing about our caravan park and about Kununurra - the people, who living here are so good! We enjoy, that they are all so kind and everyone knows everyone and that is such a great atmosphere! From our second day at the park a nice australian couple came next to us and stayed always, when they finished there trips around Kununurra, next to us. With time we became good friends and had a very nice time with each other! Sadly they leaved two days ago. 

Doc spielte häufig richtig schöne Musik! Doc played so good every night! We miss that already!

Alana ist die beste Friseurin, die ich je kennengelernt habe! Spitzen schneiden Bush style! ;) Alana is the best hairdresser, I've ever met!

Unsere neue Nachbarin Caro kommt aus Deutschland. Mit ihr teilen wir uns neuerdings ein schattiges Plätzchen. Our new neighbor Caro comes from germany. We share a nice, chilly spot with her.

Aber da gibt es noch ein paar, die ich euch vorstellen möchte, die uns immer wieder über den Weg laufen:

Jackson, ein Straßenmusiker, der total lieb ist und mit dem wir uns häufig unterhalten. Jackson, he makes musik as well. We talk often with each other - nice guy.

Martin kommt aus Estland und stellt Schmuck her. Martin comes from estonia and creates juwells.

Natürlich sind da noch viel mehr Leute, aber ich hatte nicht alle vor der Linse. ;) Was uns in diesem Ort aber am besten gefällt, ist die Gemeinde, die wir besuchen. Die Bibel wird so klar und doch tief ausgelegt. Es wird viel gebetet und die Beziehung zu Gott ist spührbar. Wir sind unglaublich dankbar, dass Gott uns gerade in einem Ort, in dem wir länger bleiben werden, eine richtig bibeltreue Gemeinde geschenkt hat!

Of course, there are a lot more persons, we like. But I didn't have a picture of all of them. ;) What we like the most at this town, is our church. They teach so clear, but also deep, pray a lot and the relationship to god is so noticeable (I know, not the right word! What is the right word?) We are very pleased, that god had blessed us with such a good church in a town, where we stay longer.
